Tanjore Big Temple - One of the World Wonders?

Hello friends, we all hearing about Tanjore temple for so many days that everyone is Talking extravagantly about the temple. Really all those speaking things are there in that temple? First of all What's special in Tanjore Temple? People in TamilNadu may know about the temple and to be frankly speaking Most of the people in the own land itself doesn't know about the history of the temple. Since Social media is developing, people are trying to know about this.

Small History: Tanjore Big Temple (in Tamil "Periyakovil") built by Raja Raja Cholan in the period of 1003 & 1010 AD. It is commonly called as Rajesvara Peruvudaiyar or Brihadeeswarar Temple. Big Temple is a part of the UNESCO world heritage site denoting "Great Living Chola Temples".

Temple Tower: Temple Vimana Tower is 216 ft height. on the top of that 80 tonne stone is placed and decorated at the top. how they brought such a big stone at the top is a big Question still for more Civil engineers when there were no such facilities? When Tower is 216 ft then it is coming to mind that what about the Basement of the Temple? Some Research is telling since it is sandy area basement should be at least double the height of Temple Tower.

Shadow of Temple: This is one of the important mystery in this temple. Shadow of this temple would not fall on the ground. It denotes height and sharpness of the temple constructed.

Shiva Linga & Nandi: Shiva Linga is 12 ft height and Nandi is 6.6 ft height. Nandi Statue built from a single stone. It wonders everyone that how it is possible to build such a big statue from a single stone?

Temple made of Granite: Temple built using the granite stones. Totally around 1,30,000 tonnes of stones used to build this temple. The important information to think about it is that there is no stone rich area around 100 km radius from Tanjore. Tanjore is located in the River Cauvery delta area. It is giving us another unspeakable moment.

Temple Relating Tamil Language:
Lord Shiva Linga is 12 ft - represents 12 Vowels in the Tamil language
Linga Peedam is 18 ft - represents 18 consonants in the Tamil language
Temple Tower is 216 ft - represents combined letters
Distance from linga to Nandi Statue is 247 ft - represents all letters count in the Tamil language.
