Kanchipuram otherwise called as Kanchi. Kanchipuram is denoted by the name called "City of thousands temple". there are Temple which is around the Kachipuram and also in the Kanchipuram. it is Located 72 Kms from the chennai (Capital of Tamilnadu). the Places to visit in Kanchipuram are:
1. Kamakshi Amman Temple:
Kamakshi amman Temple is one of the famous Indian Hindu Temple which is dedicated to Kamakshi, it is one of the forms of Goddess Parvati.
2. Ekambareswarar Temple:
this temple is the largest temple the Kanchipuram City. Ekambareswarar templeis dedicated to Lord Shiva. this is one of the major Pancha Pootha Sthalams, representing this one as Earth
3. Kanchi Kudil.
Kudil means House. this Kanchi Kudil will describe the olden days life the people has lived in that kudil. this one shows the Heritage and culture of the city.
4. Melamaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Temple
Temple is located in Melamaruvathur, it is
92 kms from the Chennai (Tamilnadu Capital). in this temple, 21
siddhars (saints) had their Jeeva Samathi's. in this Temple
Adhiparasakthi had appeared in the form of Arulthiru Bangaru Adigalar
thereby promoting Spirituality and Devotion.
5. Kailashanathar Temple.
This temple is dedicated to lord shiva, and it is one of the oldest temple in the city. it is commenced by the Rajashimha Pallava.6. Devarajaswami Temple.
This Temple is Dedicated to lord Vishnu and constructed by Vijayanagar Kings. the 10 m Tall Statue of Lord Vishnu is Immersed in the Large Tank.
